Day
1 - Depart Portland, Maine to Bangor, the 19th
century lumber capitol of the U.S. After a lunch stop,
transfer to Bar Harbor for a 3-night stay at the Harborside
Hotel on the waterfront,
adjacent to downtown. A Continental Breakfast is included
each morning. Enjoy the afternoon to browse shops,
hike trails or relax overlooking Frenchman's Bay.
Enjoy tea & popovers this afternoon at Jordan
Pond House.
Day
2 - This morning we tour to Southeast Harbor stopping
at the Oceanarium, Hinckley Boat Yard, Bass Harbor,
Sea Wall & Head Light. A special lunch included
at Sea Wall. This afternoon a guide will tour us through
Acadia National Park with stops at Cadillac Mountain,
Thunder Hole and Sieur de Monts Spring. Evening free.

3 - A full day to explore the unspoiled 'Downeast'
coast and blueberry country of the
easternmost county in America. Enjoy a picnic lunch
at Campobello, FDR's summer
cottage and a boat tour past lighthouses, aquaculture
farms and pristine rockbound coast.
Stop at Quoddy Head Light, one of Maine's most photographed
lighthouses, and Wild
Blueberry World.

4 - Free morning to relax in Bar Harbor or to
explore coastal nature trails, rent bicycles or
kayaks. Whale watch trips optional (reserve early,
cost additional). Mid afternoon transfer to Belfast.
A complete 2-lobster/clambake included tonight. Overnight
at the Ocean's Edge Comfort Inn, Belfast.

5 - Continental breakfast included. Tour inland
to Augusta for a visit to the Maine State
Museum. Free time in Freeport, home of L. L. Bean,
outlet shops and snack on your
own. Our tour ends with afternoon dinner included
at DiMillo's, located on the Portland waterfront.
